Birthday Week!

We had way too much fun last week! We had a family reunion, celebrated our final days before school started, and celebrated my 22nd birthday (wow I feel so old saying that). The highlight of the week was going to Park City with the family. Honestly I had no idea Park City had things to do in the summer, but oh boy do they! We went zip lining, rode the self controlled roller coaster, and did the alpine slide... amazing!!

Back To School

So it's back to school for the husband and I, and in 8 short months we will be free people!!!

These old blouses are everywhere in thrift stores. I usually go to Savers for my clothes, and they have a whole isle dedicated to blouses. With a few quick changes, these shoulder padded beauties can be turned into fashionable tops.
For this shirt....
1. Take out sleeves
2. Take in desired width, then measure the same amount for the sleeves
3. Re-attach the sleeves

Little Green Dress

I am really excited to post something that you can easily do at home. I bought this dress at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. This dress is only $12.00 and makes an amazingly cute skirt in just minutes. Enjoy!

If you are pregnant, congratulations, you are officially done. For those of us that are not so blessed....

Step 4: Pin inside out, and sew
Step 5: Cut off extra fabric
Step 6: Do a zigzag stitch on raw edges to keep from fraying

Inspiration=Re-Creation

$45.00                                                                            $5.00

The Daybook is one of my favorite fashion blogs. When she posted this skirt a few months ago, I was instantly in love. I knew that this elegant, yet comfy ensemble was a must have. I picked up this interesting (to say the least) drawstring knit dress at a thrift store, in hopes to make something similar. With a few few cuts here and there, this funky knit dress has been transformed into a skirt of elegance, style, and comfort.
